My name is Carol, I’m a Regional Pastor and part of the prayer team. During our 21 days of prayer and fasting I want to encourage you that our God is a God of breakthrough. He took our marriage from a place of utter brokenness to a place of joy and restoration. One scripture that I held onto during those dark times was Ecclesiastes 4:12 ‘Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves, a cord of three strands is not quickly broken’.
As a couple we weren’t even operating as two strands! There had been disappointments, hurts and pressures. All these took a toll on our marriage, and I was in deep despair without hope. BUT GOD is good, He firstly showed me that He saw Me and that He heard me through a prophetic word from the stage at Luminous one year. The breakthrough came a few months later when God restored our HOPE and turned our hearts back towards one another whilst reading a marriage article and later a transformational marriage course. We are now living God’s blueprint for marriage. God is the third strand in your marriage and is a guarantor to help you when you need it. He can take your marriage from broken to restored, good to great. May the Father bless your marriage and make it a powerful union for his glory.
