!Audacious Conferencing

Conferencing and Events Casual Worker – Casual Position

Pay rates are in line with National Minimum Wage.

Synopsis Of Role:
!Audacious Conferencing is looking for enthusiastic and hardworking individuals to work on our External Events where clients hire the !Audacious Church venue. We are looking for people with a history of working within the hospitality industry and ultimately, you should be able to provide an excellent overall guest experience for the client and their attendees.

Desirable knowledge and skills

  • Service oriented and excellent organisational skills.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to deliver warmth, charm and hospitality which will engage the guests within the venue.
  • Able to demonstrate good communication skills and have an understanding of conflict management.
  • Organised and punctual.
  • Diligent and work-proud.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Providing excellent customer service to ensure satisfaction.
  • Answering questions and sharing additional information upon request.
  • Arranging rooms and table settings.
  • Assisting the car park team.
  • Managing tea/coffee stations, ensuring they are always tidy and stocked up.
  • Serving food and dealing with external caterers.
  • Ensuring the venue stays clean and tidy throughout the events.
  • Follow all relevant rules/regulations and all customer service guidelines.
  • Promoting the venue & church in a positive manner.

!Audacious Youth

Student Intervention Support Staff

Part time, salaried position – (2 positions available)

These positions will provide a bespoke !Audacious Youth service within a specific Rochdale High School.
They will work closely with the school pastoral team and !Audacious Youth Pastor to provide student support through mentoring and interventions.

The job description:

  • Mentor and support students who require additional support within the school classroom, in small groups or a 1:1 basis
  • Encourage, motivate and engage students in accessing the curriculum to ensure they make expected progress
  • Liaise with Teaching Staff to prepare / differentiate work for students
  • Provide support and deliver school and !Audacious Youth interventions to identified students outside the classroom as required
  • Lead, participate and support the supervision of small groups of students during social time and extra-curricular activities in order to support their social and emotional development
  • Develop positive working relationships with students, acting as a good role model and setting high expectations
  • Encourage students to take responsibility for their own behaviour in line with the school Code of Conduct and report positive and negative incidents through school system promptly and regularly
  • Provide support to the Faith, Pastoral and SEN Teams and students with additional needs as directed
  • Prepare, update and maintain appropriate records and resources
  • Liaise with school stakeholders as required, including parents, staff, external agencies and Governors

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in youth work, (not necessarily within the !Audacious Youth Team)
  • Experience and ability to show competency working within a team
  • GCSEs in Maths, Science and English
  • Evidence of personal effectiveness and self-management
  • Several professional references

Desirable criteria:

  • Experience in an educational environment
  • Further education, (specifically within Maths or English) and relevant training
  • UK Driving license

Facilities Team – Voluntary Part-Time (multiple positions available)

At !Audacious Church we want our facilities to be excellent and for everyone that comes into them to find a place where they can relax and feel welcome.

Support with cleaning and maintaining the !Audacious buildings.

  • Eye for detail and desire for excellence

The receptionist role at !Audacious Church is incredibly important, the applicant will become the face and voice to everyone who contacts the church. It’s a real opportunity to engage with people and ensure they receive excellent attention, service and experience !Audacious Church.
