Hello everyone,
My name is Abimbola Oluwaponmile and I am one of the Connect Pastors at !Audacious Church. For the past few weeks, we have been talking about our Favourite Bible Characters and today I’d like to talk about one of my favourites – amongst many – and that’s Joshua AND how the story of Joshua impacts us today.
Joshua’s story is a powerful example of courageous leadership. As Moses’ successor, he led the Israelites into the Promised Land with unwavering faith and determination. In our own lives, Joshua’s example teaches us to lead with courage, especially in challenging times.
Joshua demonstrated unwavering faith in God’s promises when faced with the formidable walls of Jericho. For us, the walls of Jericho can be sickness, barrenness, pain, controversies, financial instability, and more in the world of today. We are in a world full of battles. Joshua followed God’s battle plan without hesitation. This teaches us the importance of trusting in God’s guidance, even when it defies conventional wisdom.
Joshua faced numerous battles and challenges, but he persevered with strength and resilience. His determination to overcome obstacles inspires us to stay strong and persist in our efforts, even when the journey is tough. His story encourages us to think about the impact of our actions on those who come after us and to strive to be positive role models.
I pray for the grace to help you stand firm and also follow God’s leading always in Jesus’ name.
