Christmas is coming!
In just a few short weeks you could be knee deep in wrapping paper, doing some last minute shopping, snoozing off your lunch or enjoying one of our Carol Services.
This Christmas we are looking to make a major impact on 500 of the families who live around our Church Building. Families for whom Christmas will be a challenging time. Families to whom we have the opportunity to practically show love this Christmas.
Working alongside local primary schools, food banks and social services we are inviting these families to join us for a Matinee Performance of ‘The Great Nativity Disaster‘ on Saturday the 15th December at which all of the Children will get the chance to meet Santa in the grotto while the parents enjoy a mulled wine and mince pie. Whilst at the show each family can register to receive a fun packed Christmas Hamper which will be delivered in the week leading up to Christmas.
And it’s with these hampers where we all need to play our part. There are 3 things we need you to stand alongside us in doing:
Bring food to put into the hampers. Over the 4 Sundays leading up to the 16th December we will be receiving this food, we need you to bring:
Chocolate Yule Log
AND TESCO vouchers (We’ll buy the fresh stuff near the big day!)
Two thoughts on this, i) check the expiration date! ii) only buy things of the quality you would want yourself
Help us by joining in the packing fun on Wednesday 19th December – we need to pack every hamper, wrap them up and make them look fantastic for these families – The fun at our Manchester campus starts from 18:30 – 21:00 & why not pop on a Christmas jumper just because you can!
Deliveries from our Manchester campus start on Wednesday 19th and need to be done by the evening of Thursday 20th – Go as a life group, family or friendship group, take one Hamper or a few and have the real joy of handing over this blessing just days before Christmas.
To help us with our planning please sign up for packing and delivering, we’ll send you invitations so you can do this so watch out for those in your inbox.
Let’s do Christmas well for these families. When you do your shopping this week, pick up a few items on the list (or one of everything), bring them along to the stand over the weekend and let’s get The Big Give into high gear.
We’ll keep you up-to-date with what we need over the next few weeks, but get ready to play your part in transforming Christmas, by demonstrating love in action to those in need who live around us.
Thanks for being the Church that stops the traffic, thanks for being the incredibly generous people that you are and together we can bring joy to families around us this Christmas.

Thank you so much for your help!
